Our Mission
Better Clarity is for women and men who have just learned they are unexpectedly pregnant or have experienced an abortіon in the past. It is for people trying to determine their next steps but are unsure about where to start.
This is a big and deeply personal decision. That’s why we invested two years researching the experiences of women and men who’ve faced this before. The result is Better Clarity, a support tool that’s 100% confidential and 100% online.
Care That Continues
Better Clarity was created by Avail, a nonprofit organization that has been caring for women and men since 1996. Over the years, Avail’s Care Experts have listened to people navigating an unexpected pregnancy, processing a past abortion experience, and trying to make sense of questions that may feel difficult to carry alone.
Better Clarity grew from those conversations and years of proprietary research into what people need when life feels uncertain. We heard that many wanted a private place to slow down, reflect, and begin sorting through what was on their mind before they felt ready to talk with someone else.
You may want space to reflect on your own, talk with someone, or both. Better Clarity and Avail are here to offer support in the way that feels most helpful to you.
If you decide you would like to connect with a Care Expert, Avail offers confidential support through scheduled text conversations and secure video appointments. You can ask questions, talk through what’s on your mind, or simply have space to process at your own pace, without judgment or pressure.
There is no expectation to take the next step before you are ready. Support is always available. You don’t have to know exactly what to say or even what you need. You can simply begin where you are.
